AUTOMATION ENGINEER – PLC PROGAMMING
We are searching for a automation engineer – PLC programming with experience in the industrial automotive environment, for one of our customers, a Tier 1 supplier for the automotive sector, located in Pitești, Argeș county.

Responsabilities
- Develop, modify and optimize PLC programs using Siemens STEP 7 and TIA Portal;
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to automated systems and production equipment;
- Contribute to reducing equipment downtime and improving overall equipment availability;
- Develop and implement automation solutions aimed at improving industrial processes;
- Support the implementation and development of production traceability and data collection systems;
- Contribute to the integration of industrial equipment and systems using technologies and communication protocols such as OPC UA;
- Participate in digitalization and Industry 4.0 initiatives;
- Monitor and analyse equipment performance indicators such as MTBF, OEE and Downtime and recommend improvement actions;
- Contribute to the development of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies;
- Work closely with Production, Maintenance and IT teams to identify and implement the most effective technical solutions.
Skills/Competencies
- Relevant experience in industrial automation and PLC programming;
- Hands-on experience with Siemens STEP 7 and TIA Portal;
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for automated systems;
- A good understanding of industrial processes and manufacturing equipment;
- Knowledge of industrial system integration and communication technologies such as OPC UA;
- Experience with production traceability, data collection or manufacturing data systems would be considered an advantage;
- An analytical and structured approach to problem-solving;
- The ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams;
- A strong results and continuous improvement mindset;
- Advanced English language skills.
